Even in a dignified cap and gown, 5-year-old Ronnie can’t contain his goofy energy. He is a born entertainer, his favorite pastimes soccer, dancing, watching TV and making his family laugh.

Ronnie’s proud relatives and friends gathered recently to celebrate his graduation from preschool. It may seem like a small milestone, but in a place where many children will drop out of school before completing their education, the promising future Ronnie has is cause to celebrate.

Ronnie’s mother, Monica, is able to pay for all his school fees with the money she earns as a seamstress at Mend.

“I’m so grateful,” Monica said. “My prayer is that Ronnie should continue with his studies so he can really graduate in the future with a degree.”

Thanks to the many supporters who have chosen to purchase bags from Mend, Monica has the means to provide a bright future for her son.
